Pompeii ticket prices 2026 at a glance
Two main tickets apply from 12 January 2026. Pompei Express costs EUR 20 and covers the ancient city without the suburban villas. Pompei Plus costs EUR 25 and includes the named suburban villas, Villa Regina with the Antiquarium of Boscoreale, and the shuttle. Which villas you can enter depends on the exact option, so a ticket for the city alone does not guarantee the Villa of the Mysteries.
Tickets are personalised, one entry per ticket, and the park sets a limit of 20,000 people a day. This page explains the rules and shows the ticket and audio guide offers you can book here. Prices are in euros as of 2026 and they change.

Our picks: Pompeii entry tickets
The audio-guide ticket lets you choose between Express (ancient city) and Pompei+ (extra villas) when booking. The fast-track ticket is Express only and does not include the suburban villas.

Pompei Express or Pompei Plus
Do not mix the two. They cover different places.
| Pompei Express | Pompei Plus | |
|---|---|---|
| Price 2026 | EUR 20 | EUR 25 |
| Ancient city | Yes | Yes |
| Antiquarium | Included in the city ticket | Included in the city ticket |
| Suburban villas (Villa of the Mysteries and the other named villas) | Not included | Included |
| Villa Regina and Antiquarium Boscoreale, shuttle | โ | Included |
For most visitors who want the city and its main streets, Express is enough. Choose Plus if the Villa of the Mysteries is a reason you are coming, and read the Villa of the Mysteries page first.
Adding the villas later
If you already hold an Express ticket, the park sells a supplement of EUR 8 at the entrance to the suburban villa path. It is cashless and cannot be bought without a valid city ticket. This route and a Plus ticket bought from the start are two different ways to buy, so do not treat their totals as the same price.
Named tickets and entry rules
- Named tickets: tickets are personalised. A reseller product does not guarantee unlimited capacity on the day.
- Daily limit: the park names 20,000 people a day. In summer entry is spread over time slots.
- One entry: each ticket allows one entry. You cannot leave and come back in with the same ticket.
- Bags: 30 x 30 x 15 cm at most. Larger luggage belongs in the left-luggage area.
- Hours: 09:00 to 19:00 with last entry at 17:30 from 16 March to 14 October, and 09:00 to 17:00 with last entry at 15:30 from 15 October to 15 March.
- Amphitheatre: currently open for a look from the south entrance only.
Where the park sells tickets
The park runs an authorised online sale and its own ticket offices at the Porta Marina, Piazza Esedra and Piazza Anfiteatro entrances. Booking ahead is recommended, but it does not replace the entry conditions that apply on the day. Not every seller outside the gates is a park ticket office.
The offers above are reservations through a travel marketplace. They can include an audio guide or a guide on top of the entry, which is why they differ from the park's own prices.
Pompeii audio guide
An entry ticket with an audio guide gives you commentary while you walk alone. The digital guide in the main ticket offer comes in English, German, French, Italian and Spanish, and a physical device is available if you choose that option. It is not a guided tour. If you want a person leading the walk, see Pompeii guided tours with an archaeologist.
Herculaneum is a separate ticket
Herculaneum in Ercolano is a separate park with its own ticket. Pompeii Express or Plus does not include it. See Herculaneum and Pompeii and Herculaneum in one day.

No. The park's table allows one entry per ticket.
